High school to college – Part 1: My acceptance

As I said before, I want to use this blog as a place where I can record my journey from my last few months of high school to college.

So, I will officially say that I’m going to Cal State University Stanislaus this fall with a major in psychology!

Way back in November when I was applying to colleges, I was so NERVOUS and scared that no college was going to accept me.

Now here I am, a few months later finding out that 4 out of 4 colleges accepted me. Which were:

•CSU Stanislaus

•CSU Sacramento

•CSU San Jose

•And CSU Fresno

All of those schools are great, and honestly I would have been fine going to either one.

College is what you make of it. It doesn’t matter if you’re going to a community college, or the most prestigious ivy league school; you decide how you take advantage of college.

I ended up choosing Stanislaus because of their campus academics, sense of community, opportunities for first generation freshman, and affordability. Every staff member and student that I’ve met there so far has been really nice and helpful.

Truth be told, I’m super happy with my choice and excited to be going there in the fall! College isn’t only a great learning experience, but a place where I can become who I want, meet new people, and experience as much as I can.

You bet I’m going to do all of that.

No fooling around.

College is going to be the chance I’ve been waiting for.
